Goppingen coach criticizes German players

Velimir Petkovic, the coach of Frisch auf Goppingen, publicly criticized the German players that they do not take handball seriously enough.  Speaking about the crisis in the national team, he said that the younger players are not serious, and that they must work more, and not take handball as fun only, noting that the foreigners that come work much more than the domestic players in the Bundesliga, which are of course very appreciated in their teams. The Yugoslav with German passport believes however, that it is still possible for Germany to reach the Olympic games in London through successful qualifications for the EC. He added that he appreciates Heiner Brandt and that he is capable of getting back the team on old tracks, and that the Olympics without Germany in handball are not the same. ← Previous Story TOP 10 Handball Investments in 2010/2011: Barbosa, Haraldsen, Popovic, Sjostrand… Next Story → Nemanja Zelenovic next two years in Celje Pivovarna Lasko
