first_imgBahamas, May 5th 2017, Long Island: A lock on the Cookie Jar! FNM Leader Dr.Hubert Minnis promise to the Bahamian people, as he addressed scores of red supporters in Long Island. Minnis vowed to give answers on ‘where the VAT monies gone’, signalling a warning to those on the other side, “When you put your hand in the VAT cookie jar, you always leave a trailFNM Supporters in Long Islandof crumbs. The trail will lead us right back to those who been tiefing your money”.Reading from this speech, Minnis told the islanders that plans were made to boost agriculture on the island, with focus on fruit crops and processing it into jams and juices. The FNM’s plan is said to include a Native Food Market in Nassau that will be an outlet for produce and fish. He adds that a modern new airport is on the cards for Long Island under an FNM government.Minnis paid homage to Long Islanders who have made valuable contributions to Bahamian life including “Jimmy Knowles and Larry Cartwright. I also want to remember Lady Naomi Wallace Whitfield.
